Table 8 - Gratings for Dye Laser Tuning
These gratings can be used either in Littrow or grazing incidence mode. They are available on standard substrates or on special rectangular blanks.

Lasers that employ certain organic dyes as their gain media have the ability to lase over a broad range of frequencies. The combination of a diffraction grating and one of these dyes in a laser allows the production of laser light that has a narrow line width and which is tunable through the gain profile of the dye. The gratings below are suitable for use in these lasers.
